Laser Tattoo Removal
Vanish Tattoo Removal
Located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Vanish Inc has mastered the art of laser tattoo removal.
We use LUTRONIC’s Dual-pulsed Q-switched Nd: YAG SPECTRA™ laser – specifically engineered to remove all permenant tattoo ink colors on a variety of skin types. Black, blue, red, green, purple - you name it!
How Tattoo Removal Works
When the laser is emitted into the tattoo, it targets only the ink - breaking it into tiny, microscopic pieces. These pieces are carried away by your white blood cells and flushed out through the body’s lymphatic system.
Since tattoos have several layers of ink, it takes more than one session to complete, but your skin is left unharmed and ink-free. Like it never happened!
Tattoo artists often recommend our services prior to doing cover-up tattoos. Vanish Inc. fades/lightens tattoos that don’t fit well with the new design. Dark ink can only be covered by darker ink.
Lightening a tattoo is typically accomplished in just a few treatments. We do suggest waiting about six weeks post treatment before getting your new ink.
Removing Fresh Tattoos
Have a fresh tattoo? We ask you wait six weeks prior to receiving laser tattoo removal treatments. This allows your skin to fully heal and the ink to settle.
Your body is hard at work during this time healing and processing any ink it can get rid of on its own.
We know you're eager to get started, but the longer you wait, the better your tattoo removal process will be.

Sometimes, as tattoos age, the ink doesn't stay where it was supposed to. This ink fallout, or tattoo blowout, can happen to varying degrees. Often it is seen most in the outline, causing it to be thicker than intended.
A single treatment can often be enough to remove the ink that has spread. This restores the detail and hidden colors of the original tattoo.

Absolutely! In fact, if you have multiple tattoos to treat this is a smart choice since you’ll save time and money.
Yes, it has a slight sting. That is why we use a special device called a Zimmer Cryo6 -specifically designed to minimize pain during laser treatments. It blows chilled air (-22˚F) onto the skin, making the whole procedure very comfortable. With all that said, each treatment is very quick, lasting between a few seconds to a couple of minutes.
Under the supervision of our licensed medical director (an MD with over 30 years of experience practicing medicine), both Kelly and Meredith are Certified Laser Technicians. They have undergone specialized training to receive this credential and professionally administer treatments in our comfortable setting.
Right after your treatment, your skin will have a white discoloration, and the area around the tattoo may become reddish and appear swollen. This is normal and will disappear. Results take about 5 weeks after each treatment. Immediately after treatment, antibacterial ointment and gauze will be applied to the treated area to minimize infection.
Modern Q-Switched lasers are the gold standard for tattoo removal, proven to be most effective with minimal risk. Occasionally, a whitening of the treated skin may occur. However, normal skin tone typically returns within 6 -12 months following your last treatment session. Since the ink used in tattooing can vary from tattoo to tattoo, some patients have only partial clearing even after several sessions.
The initial ghosting that takes place during treatment fades within 20 minutes. The actual removal of the ink takes place over the following five weeks by your lymphatic system. This is a gradual lightening as your body disposes of the pigment. Drink lots of water, and apply Aquaphor cream to the area to help your body along.
